An album, a memory in the form of a book

Moments that deserve more than a folder on your phone

I’m sure it’s happened to you. You take a beautiful photo with your phone, or someone sends you a special image that you’d like to keep forever. But among so many other pictures, it gets lost in the gallery, and you never see it again.

Or you go on a trip, take photos of incredible places, delicious dishes, unique details… and when you want to share your experience, you’re faced with an endless stream of disorganized images.
Sometimes sharing a memory becomes a quest:
“Ah, wait… this wasn’t it… not this one either… ah, here’s the one of the castle where we ate that delicious cake!”

When the photos felt closer

It’s funny, because in earlier times it was very common to have photo albums.
Of course, cameras were different. Many used film, and you had to go somewhere to get the photos developed. Then you selected them, arranged them, and pasted them into an album, almost like a ritual, to show them to family and friends.

Who doesn’t still have photo albums from when we were little kids?
But you can see how, over the years, there were fewer of them. Then, with the arrival of digital cameras, came the strange trend of electronic photo frames: a novelty that, just as quickly as it appeared, also disappeared.

Our photos… ever since we got mobile phones, they’re scattered across a thousand hard drives, USB drives (more than one of which I’m sure we’ve lost), folders on our computers… And with them, many memories have gone too.

Digital technology is useful… it doesn’t always connect us.

Today we have cloud services, automatic synchronization, and access from anywhere.
Yes, it sounds convenient. But let’s be honest, who takes the time to set that up?

Most of us use the cloud like a digital storage unit: we save things to free up space, and in the end, it all gets mixed up.
When, years later, you go in to look… you find all sorts of things: a photo of the pill the doctor prescribed, the contact lens box to remember your prescription, an offer that’s already expired…

And it’s tedious. Really tedious. Searching through thousands of files to find that special memory ends up being an impossible mission.

Recovering the value of the tangible

An album is more than just a collection of photos. It’s a way to give value to a moment, to a story.

A birthday, a trip, a wedding, an important stage in your life… all arranged and presented in a way that allows you to truly relive it.

And what’s more, you can touch it.
It has weight. It has texture. It’s with you, here and now.
It anchors your mind to the present, even if memories are floating around.

Instead of wasting time searching for photos on your phone, you have the album right there on your shelf.
And when you open it, each page takes you straight back to a special moment. You’ve put a cover on it, a box that protects what you experienced.

Yes, having photos on your phone has its advantages. But it doesn’t compare to the value of holding something in your hands that connects you directly to your memories.
